Founded in 2017, Yule Football School was created as a return to footballing roots, with a vision to develop players in an environment of excellence, discipline, joy, and passion for the game. Based in Mossel Bay, South Africa, the school welcomes both boys and girls and is committed to nurturing football talent while building character on and off the field.
At the heart of Yule Football School is its founder and owner, Yohann Beurel, whose football journey and coaching ambition continue to shape the school’s identity and future.

People often ask about the story behind the name Yule Football School — and it is one worth asking about.
In fact, if you want the full story, you should ask Yohann directly.
The nickname “Yul” began during his time at a football academy, where a teammate’s father gave him the name because he used to shave his head, which made him resemble the American actor Yul Brynner.
Later, while playing for Aurillac, Yohann created a logo featuring an elephant. The inspiration came from the shape of the letter “Y” in the nickname, which looked like an elephant’s head and trunk.
The name Yule Football School was eventually chosen because it has a natural rhythm and rhyme with the word “school”, while the elephant symbol gave the brand a distinctive African identity.
The primary colour of Yule Football School is sky blue.
This choice was inspired by the beautifully clear blue skies of Mossel Bay, South Africa. More than just a colour, sky blue reflects the spirit of the school: light, joy, happiness, and warmth.
It represents a positive atmosphere where players can learn, grow, and enjoy the game in a place that feels inspiring and full of life.
The Yule Football School logo is rich in symbolism and tells the story of both heritage and purpose.
It includes:
The “Tricolore” football from the 1998 FIFA World Cup, representing the year France won the World Cup for the very first time.
An elephant filled with the colors of the South African flag, symbolizing strength, identity, and the school’s African roots.
The slogan “A Football with a Hint of French Flair”, which forms the acronym FFF — a creative nod to the French Football Federation.
Male and female biological symbols, showing clearly that the school is open to both boys and girls.
The foundation year written in French, highlighting the founder’s French heritage.
Every detail in the logo was chosen intentionally, making it more than just a badge — it is a statement of identity, vision, and belonging.

Coach Yohann, I've played football at Provincial and National levels in France. I started coaching in 2010 in Paris and I have founded YFS in 2017. I am a student of the game who is CAF and UEFA qualified. I am loyal to my roots "Allez Paris!" and "Allez YFS!"

I support Kaizer Chiefs (locally), Manchester City FC (internationally) Favourite player: Yaya Toure Preferred Style of Football:High-pressing, possession-based with a focus on quick transitions and fluid attacking movement—similar to the German "Gegenpressing" system with a South African flair. My ambitions for the future: to take my football overseas and start playing professional football, I hope to start that journey in Italy at the end of July if everything goes well...
